Instructions for Installation of Single Rectangle Style Decorate Your Doors! Kit

1. Gather a ruler, a level, a pencil and a hammer.  Everything else you’ll
need is included in your kit.  Your moulding has already been primed for
you. You may apply the final coats of paint either before or after installation,
according to your preference.  Each piece of moulding has also been
labeled on the back, as is referenced in these instructions.

2. Measure across 4 inches from the top left corner of your door and
make a faint pencil mark.

3. Measure down 4 inches from the mark you made in step 2 and again
make a faint pencil mark.  This mark, 4 inches across from the left side of
the door and 4 inches down from the top of the door, is the starting place
for your first piece of moulding. The first piece of moulding you will install
has been labeled Piece A. The outside upper corner of Piece A should be
located on the mark you have made in this step 3.

4. Install Piece A, using the finishing nails provided in your kit and making
sure that it is level as you nail it into place (see Figure 1). *

5. Install Piece B adjacent to Piece A, as shown in Figure 1.  Make sure
that it is level and nail into place. You’re half way finished!

6. Repeat step 4 with Piece C.

7. Install Piece D by placing it between the bottom corners of Pieces A and C.  Make sure that it is level, then nail
into place (see Figure 1).

8. Countersink all nail heads.  (To countersink, simply use another finishing nail and your hammer to tap the
installed nail head slightly below the surface of the moulding.)

9. Conceal all nail holes using the wood putty provided and touch up with paint as needed.

10. Step back and admire your work!

*IMPORTANT: Always hammer the finishing nails into the pre-drilled nail holes; otherwise you may split the
moulding.
